2. Chris Gayles’ Score of 175
The Jamaican star player and the opening bats-man of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chris Gayle bewildered everyone in 2013. When he scored 175 run against Pune warriors. In this match Chris Gayle ruthlessly hit every bowler, Those 175 runs came off in just 66 balls. He hit 17 sixes and 13 fours. It was the time when RCB made the highest total ever in the history of cricket which is 263 runs. This is by far the greatest record by RCB until now no team has made a total more than this.
3. Anil Kumble’s 5 runs and 5 wickets
The Indian star leg-spinner, Anil Kumble led RCB team in 2009. Setting a total of 133/8 runs on the bowling surface, RCB managed to destroy the batting lineup of Rajasthan Royals when Anil Kumble took 5/5 in 3 overs. In that match RCB gained victory over Rajasthan by 75 runs.
4. Pat Cummins Fastest Fifty
In 2022 the Australian pacer, Pat Cummins, playing for Kolkata Knight Riders amazed everyone by hitting fastest fifty against Mumbai Indians. While half of his team was back to pavilion at 101, Cummins turned the tables by hitting his half century in mere 14 balls. He hit 35 runs in an over and took KKR for an unexpected win. He became the first in the IPL history to come at 8 wickets down and hit the fastest fifty runs.
5. Brendon McCullum’s 158 runs
In the first edition of Indian Premier League and in the very first match the KKR’s skipper, Brendon McCullum hit 158 runs in 73 balls. Brendon became the first player to hit the first century of IPL, it was recorded among top 10 fastest centuries of IPL. He made the team reach the score of 222/3 runs and beaten the opponent team by 140 runs.
6. Yusuf Pathan’s 100 runs in 37 balls
In 2010, Yusuf Pathan played a ferocious inning against Mumbai Indians when he scored 100 runs in just 37 balls. While Rajasthan Royals was 66/4, chasing 212 runs. Yusuf Pathan came and played some good cricket. He became the fastest to score and IPL century which made the match more exciting. He hit 11 consecutive boundaries , only talking in 6s and 4s. 7. Rajasthan Royals First Win
In 2008, when IPL was first played, the final was between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings. Despite being underrated and weaker side Rajasthan Royals stunned everyone by winning the finals at last ball. The team defeated Delhi Daredevils at the semi finals by 105 runs and playing some good cricket they managed to stop Chennai at 163 runs in the finals. Rajasthan wasn’t everyone’s favourite because it lacked experience, but through their consistent performance they bagged the first edition of IPL.
8. Kieron Pollard Dropping Catches 3 Times a Row
The Jamaican power hitter and Mumbai Indians all-rounder Kieron Pollard, missed the opportunity of taking the wicket of Chennai’s star batsman, Michael Hussey not just once but three times a row. It was called Hat-Trick of Drops, since he drop three catches in three deliveries.
9. Sohail Tanvir’s 6/14
Sohail Tanvir, the Pakistani sensational bowler took his career best and achieved the historic best figure in IPL against Chennai Super Kings in 2008. He alone did a great job as a bowler for Rajasthan Royals. He was the major cause ofRajasthan Royals winning the first edition of IPL.
10. Chris Lynn’s Catch
The 2014 IPL edition is remembered for sone of the outstanding catches IPL ever witnessed and one such was the catch that was taken by Chris Lynn.
